Heed: Sermon Notes · Effective 17 October 2026

In short: Heed doesn't collect any data. Your recordings, transcripts and notes stay on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we run no servers that could receive your data.

Who we are

Heed: Sermon Notes ("Heed", "the app") is made by Yash Deore, an independent developer. If you have a question about this policy, email codemaninfinity17@gmail.com.

What the app keeps on your iPhone

To work, the app stores these things in its private storage on your device:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no way to see it.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app asks for microphone access so it can record, and for speech recognition permission so it can turn the recording into text. Transcription runs on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech recognition; your audio is not sent to us or to any other service. The first time you use it, iOS may download Apple's speech model for your language. Apple handles that download.

Summaries

Summaries are made on your iPhone, using Apple Intelligence on devices that support it and the app's built-in summarizer otherwise. Your transcripts are not sent to us or to any AI service.

Purchases

Heed Pro is sold through the App Store, so Apple handles payment. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks on your device whether Pro is active. Apple's privacy policy covers purchases.

Sharing and exporting

When you choose to share or export a note (as a PDF, a text file or an image), it goes only where you send it. What happens next is governed by the app or person you share it with.

Backups

Like other app data, your notes can be included in your iCloud or computer backups if you have backups turned on. Apple handles those backups under its own terms.

Analytics, ads and tracking

The app has no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that collects data, and it doesn't track you across apps or websites. If you've turned on "Share with App Developers" in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and aggregate usage statistics. These can't identify you.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

You can delete any note in the app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to give you, correct or erase. You're still welcome to email us with any privacy question.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
